Part 1 of Part 4
Want to be a landlord in Atlanta? With falling real estate prices across the country, cities are ripe with investor activity. People are flocking to Atlanta in search of real esate deals. Atlanta has consistently ranked as one of the top real estate markets for foreclosure even before the estate bust. That means Deals! With homes prices in many areas 30 to 40 percent below retail value this market makes the everyday homeowner think hmm can I be a real estate investor. Maybe I should pick. Well if you haven't thought about this I did. I picked up a two condominiums in the hot downtown area of Atlanta about 2 years ago. Downtown Atlanta Relatively forgotten until a few years ago, downtown has not experienced the double digit appreciation rates of its sister community midtown. Prices Downtown Many people are afraid to still come downtown. The northern part of downtown with Centennial Park, The World of Coke and the Aquarium has seen a lot of press. Still the south side of downtown has remained relatively forgotten. This is where I purchased two studio condominiums for 55K and another for 69K.
